Abhay and I worked together for two years in the early 90s. At that time the Indian garment industry was experiencing a lack of high tech, well run factories. Abhay was brought in for his technical expertise and his "make it happen attitude" which he brought from his previous industry -the Merchant Navy. Working with Abhay was a great experience. He was meticulous in his planning and had a very hands on approach. The factories he ran benefited greatly from this. Even though he was new to the industry at that time his grasp of the job at hand was tremendous.
